"I suffered mental and physical abuse at the hands of 3 different people from a very young age until I was 16. I became a drug addict at 16 through to 18 and I was being kicked out of housing and in and out of hostels. I then moved to Oxford to the Bridge Project and slowly I was picking myself up. Then I started going to the Gap where I could get lunch and if I needed to talk to anyone there is always someone there. My Gramp passed away last November and I was lost. At the Gap, if I said I needed to speak to someone they wouldn’t say no. I thank the Gap staff a lot, I wouldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for them. I am now drug-free and got my own flat now."
